Can you notarize a signature without the person being present if another person swears that the person signed the document?

Absolutely not! I have received many requests regarding "notarizing a person's signature by subscribing witness." Some states, like California, do allow such notarizations, but the State of Florida does not.

As a notary, are you able to prepare legal documents for me?

No. I am not an attorney licensed to practice law in the State of Florida, and I may not give legal advice or accept fees for legal advice.

If fees are set by the State of Florida, what are the additional fees charged for your services?

All notaries are only allowed to charge a maximum of $10.00 per notary action. As a business owner, I incur business expenses such as travel, paper and ink supply costs, and time. These fees are calculated conservatively, at the discretion of the notary, and you can always contact me for a quote.
